THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF PRAGYAN TECHNOLOGY & SOCIAL POLICY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Professor Binay Bhushan Chakrabarti, commonly known as B. B. Chakrabarti, is an Indian academic and professor of management and finance. He was the Director of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi).
Chakrabarti is a graduate of Jadavpur University and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). He has taught Finance at IIM Calcutta. He became the Director of IIM Ranchi in September 2013. He is a visiting faculty in the area of finance at IIM Calcutta, IIM Ranchi and IIM Sirmaur.
Mr. Rajsekhar Joshi has more than 30 years of experience after graduation in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee. He has wide global and Indian experience in multiple states of India, South East Asia, Europe, and North America. He has been a top business and technology leader having run large and complex operations, global cybersecurity functions, and digital transformations at the group level for large multi-billion dollar global groups. He has been a member of the Global CISO advisory board, Tech Mahindra, the Member of the India Advisory Board of one of the world’s leading cybersecurity companies, and a past member of the Global Electronics Publishing Committee of one of the world’s leading publishers, Macmillan Group of United Kingdom. He has worked as Business Head, Director, SVP, CEO, and Partner with Reliance, Birlas, Tata, Reliance, and Macmillan and is deeply engaged in the startup’s innovation ecosystem and also has been a Founder of companies in the area of education and transportation sector.
He is past national working committee member, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council, has been a special Invitee member, Empowered Technology Group, GOI and contributed to national policies in AI, Cybersecurity, education, environment, governance etc.
He has been member of National Focus Group for strategy and finalizing National Curriculum Framework as per New Education Policy for usage of technology in school education. He has been member of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, Uttarakhand which runs a chain of hundred of non-profit schools in Uttarakhand and focused at rebuilding schools, teacher training actively in Uttarakhand. He has been Director of Ritam Foundation for digital news, research and analysis with nationalistic ideals. He has been Trustee of Suryodaya Foundation, Mumbai, an active NGO in water conservation, active in fight against Covid 19 and involved in cause of education. He has authored various articles in Economic times, other magazines and is a leading speaker at events on conservation, sustainability among others.
Mr. Rohit Pande is an entrepreneur and thought leader in the educational technology space. Having founded classteacher.com, in early 2000, he has led the innovation of technology in the K-12 school education sector in India. The company now works with over 1 million children in 1200 schools, empowering the school community with tech tools to enhance learning.
Rohit is also the co-founder of Quest- Navigator for Learning which is building a unique educational metaverse for 6-14 age groups and has raised over 9 million USD from marquee VCs in the last year. Rohit is also the Managing Trustee of the iwanttolearnbetter Foundation which aims to aspire children in the urban slums to leapfrog the learning gap.
He is currently working on gamified learning environments as well as the measurement of learning outcomes in order to use AI for effective personalization of learning. His focus is on using the algorithms that have been developed at scale, particularly in government school systems, to ensure more equitable learning outcomes at affordable costs. He completed his B.Tech from IIT, Delhi in 1995 and MBA from IIM, Calcutta in 1997.
